Fast Talking Business Guy
With a desire to uncover the unexpected, this fast talker took pictures for major magazines, helped introduce digital photography at Apple and co-founded a leading mobile messaging company, Pulse. This biz guy began planning an escape to a new world of digital media communication years ago. He envisioned a place where empowered natives would be free to express, create and control all modes of production and distribution. Hmmm…sounds like VUVOX.
A few of his favorite things: Hanging with his wife and daughter. Roaming a back street with camera in hand. Mixing it up with super creative people. Mountain biking with his brother in law. And yes, he talks fast….but, he also listens.
Propeller Head & 'Man of Steel'
In one word, SOLID. He is pretty quiet, but, like Superman, when he does talk you had better listen, since he usually gets it right the first time.Credentials: MIT Media Lab, Stanford, serious Research and Development at Interval and co-founded a super stealth technology licensing company called, AMOVA. Yahoo liked some of his pioneering media automation and annotation work and spent gobs of money getting access to it. He parachuted out of Yahoo’s Media R&D group where he was busy innovating something that he won’t tell us about.
The man of Steel is surrounded by a supportive wife and three amazing kids. Thank you Mrs. W !
The Juice Man
If you want thoughtful insight into just about anything, he’s your “go-to” guy. A UI and UE design wunderkind, his trail is filled with innovation: Quokka Sports, where he helped design NBC’s Olympic website; Scient, where he led the design of MLB Advanced Media and Microsoft, innovating on all things mobile for the past five years.
If you want a different POV, tap him on the shoulder. This guy generates the most ideas per square inch since Edison.
The Juice man is an author, painter & designer, but he’s happiest around his family. A personal website for his kids spawned a book entitled, The Future of Memories to help anyone better prepare, document and share their life’s stories. All that wisdom is now a cornerstone of VUVOX.
Da Man (aka Mr. Sun)
When he started in technology, digital media was called “graphics”. He didn’t like that label, so, he co-founded Macromedia and as their first CEO, helped create “multimedia”. He has had a long trail of serious success as founding partner of Anthem Ventures. Have you heard of MySpace?...he was an early investor and board member. Launch Media? …now Yahoo Music. Neven Vision? ... search for it on Google, VUVOX? …oh yeah, that’s us.
